When we noticed our good friends and one of the industry's renowned exhaust system manufacturers, Milltek Sport, had grabbed themselves a new BMW M2 G87, we knew we had to get in touch and offer a visual upgrade. This collaboration presented an opportunity to take automotive aesthetics and performance to the next level, as we set out to Maxtonize Milltek's M2 with a Maxton Design styling kit.
The M2 arrived at our HQ in Leeds bright and early, ready for it’s visual transformation. Coloured in Zandvoort Blue and equipped with a Milltek exhaust system, our fitting technicians couldn’t wait to get started.
As the weather on the day wasn’t ideal, the first step was to give the M2 a wipe down using our quick detailer to remove any dirt or residue. Not only could loose objects interfere with the fitting process, they could also damage the paintwork of the car as the fitting technicians are working their magic.
The car was now primed, up on the ramps and raring to begin the transformation. To get a sneak peek at what the styling kit would look like once fitted, we laid the products out in position of how they would sit on the car.
And with that, the fitting technicians were given the green light. Naturally, we started with the front bumper by installing a Front Splitter.
To continue the Maxton look around the car’s body shape, we moved onto the Side Skirt Diffusers.
Finally, to complete the low-line kit, Rear Side Splitters and a Rear Diffuser were installed.
As finishing touches, we also installed a 3D Spoiler Cap and Short Roof Rails. And with that, the new look was complete.
