Visual Upgrade: Body Styling Kit
Much to our excitement, the production of the Maxton Design styling kit for the BMW M2 is complete. The kit includes Front Splitters, Side Skirt Diffusers, Rear Valances and more, providing a wide range of styling freedom.
Of course, this means only one thing. It’s time to visually upgrade our new demo car.
Our fitting technicians started by giving the car a good clean, as it has to be spotless for its big Maxton makeover. With the help of some products from the team at AutoFinesse, the M2 looked as good as new.
Once dry, the car could be moved into the fitting bay and onto the ramps so the transformation could begin. We fitted the M2 with the following styling parts:
- Front Splitter - BM-M2-G87-FD5G
- Side Skirt Diffusers – BM-M2-G87-SD4G
- Rear Side Splitters – BM-M2-G87-RSD4G
- Rear Diffuser – BM-M2-G87-RS1G
- Roof Rails - BM-M2-G87-RR1G
For some behind-the-scenes content, check out our YouTube video.
What a difference the kit makes! The Front Splitter completely transforms the front bumper and the Rear Diffuser, Rear Side Splitters and Spoiler Cap add to the already aggressive rear end.
Exhaust Upgrade
Of course, we were far from done with the M2. Next up, exhaust. We only wanted the best for our new demo car, so of course we got in touch with the guys at Milltek who supplied us with a new exhaust system to make the G87 sound as good as it looks.
Wheels and Springs
We wanted to go even further, which is why paid a visit to our good friends at Progressive Parts for some finishing touches.
Naturally, we got in touch with Vossen for some wheels. To match BMW’s Black Sapphire metallic body and the Gloss Black Maxton kit, we had the wheels powder coated in Satin Black. For all of you spec nerds, we opted for the HF5 20 x 9.5’s on the front, and wider 20 x 10.5’s at the back for extra concave.
We also had the MMR Performance Height Adjustable Sport Spring Kit fitted, allowing us to make the G87 look even more aggressive when on display.
Summary
This is how the M2 is looking currently. We’ll have this fine piece of German engineering on our stand at German Car Festival at Silverstone on the 10th September, so make sure to pay us a visit.
